English-Japanese Sentence Generator
英日文章自動生成プログラム
www.manythings.org/sentences/random
Note February 2018: This does not work correctly anymore. - Sorry
- When I moved this to a new server, it quit working, and I don't currently have the time to fix it.
- I'll leave the pages online, since hopefully I can eventually find some time to localize the code to the new server.
Experimental
- This is where I experiment with bilingual sentence generation.
- The Japanese is not a translation of the English, but is generated at the same time.
- The aim is to create natural-sounding English-Japanese sentences pairs, not to create funny-sounding, laugh-provoking sentences like many random sentence generators do.
警告、注意、危険 - Warning, Be Careful, Watch Out, Danger
- Due to the nature of random sentence generators, there may be some
unnatural-sounding sentences and some mistakes.
文生成プログラムの性質のため、不自然さや、間違いがある場合もあります。 - These are computer-made sentences (コンピューターの作った文章), so they may not always be good sentences. However, if one language makes sense, usually the other makes sense, too.

- I've always wanted to see if I could create something like this -- software that creates, so students would never run out of content.
- Perhaps, it's not quite there yet, but it's getting closer.
