Randomly Chosen Japanese Words For Reading Practice
The database was updated on May 14, 2008 with EDICT 2008-05-14.
All the words marked as commonly-used (P) were grabbed, then all the "usually kana" (uk) words and words not written in kanji were deleted leaving 17,154 words.
The data is from Jim Breen's EDICT Japanese-English Dictionary.
The EDICT file is the outcome of a voluntary project to produce a freely-available
Japanese/English Dictionary in machine-readable form. This project has been under way since
early 1991.
