There are apparently no official lists of vocabulary. These lists should only be viewed as useful tools for study.

About the Lists

The JLPT lists were generated using the lists found at http://www.thbz.org/kanjimots/jlpt.php3
- I eliminated the words in the upper level lists that also appeared on lower level lists.
- Then I generated the pages that link to the online dictionaries.
For the EDICT (P) Words Not on JLPT Lists, I took all the words marked as commonly-used (P) in EDICT, then eliminated all the words that appeared on the JLPT lists.
