Practice Reading Japanese Using Tatoeba Corpus Sentences

🍣 About These Lists

This is a good sequence for reading the Japanese sentences in the Tatoeba Corpus if your aim is to learn to read. These lists focus on higher-frequency kanji first with one new kanji added per list. This way you will only see the one new kanji plus those kanji that appeared on lower-numbered lists.

After loading a list, there is an option to show translations on the right side of the page. While it's possible to choose to show all languages, only showing your own language will make scrolling through the sentences faster, and also make it obvious which sentences do not yet have a translation in your own language.

If you are logged in to tatoeba.org, then you can see more information on the CJ Profile Page.
